Austinites Who Inspire Me
One of the greatest parts of living in Austin (besides tacos, BBQ, live music, etc.) is the never-ending supply of creative makers and doers that inspire others to make and do. Our creative community here is top notch! Let me introduce you to a few of my faves.
Meet my sweet friend Claire. She's a local interior stylist extraordinaire with such a bright, unique style I adore.
I love the way she puts seemingly random pieces together, and like magic, it all looks just right.
Claire's design talent doesn't stop with interiors. She also styles photoshoots, like this stunner below.
My friend and studio mate, Dru, makes jewelry that is simple and beautiful (and I wear everyday...). But what really inspires me is the purpose behind their rings: Go RIngs partners with people raising money for various short term mission trips around the world.
My friend Rachel is a crazy-talented, Austin-based painter. This girl uses color like I've never seen. I've been especially loving her Supernova and Stardust series (pictured below). The pieces are striking!
Mockingbird Domestics is a great shop on South Lamar that carries stylish + locally made home provisions. It's my go-to place for buying gifts! What really makes them special is their Mockingbird Made furniture. Their furniture is designed and built in house with that special Austin flair.
Don't you wish you could have it all? Like these side tables and the bench below.
